I love dip. Plain and simple. I think it’s so delicious, convenient and I love that you can dip just about anything in it. I especially LOVE baked dips. The flavour is so much more intense and that warmness right out of the oven is perfect for enjoying late at night, parties, gatherings, game day get togethers, or all by yourself. This dip is very versatile and it’s great for dipping just about anything. It’s also versatile because you can add whatever ingredients you like! My family loves garlic and we love cheese – two perfect combinations in my ideal world! I hope you all enjoy this dip as much as we do!
This dip is light and fluffy, full of flavour, and not heavy like most baked dips.
1 (8oz.) package light cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
2 cups medium cheddar, grated
3 large garlic cloves, crushed
1 small onion, grated
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Salt & Pepper
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Set aside 1/2 cup – 1 cup grated cheese until later.
Combine all ingredients (except for 1 cup of grated cheese) in food processor and blend until combined and smooth.
Spread mixture into cooking dish (I used a round dish) and place in oven. Bake for 20 minutes or until puffy.
Top with remaining grated cheese and place back in oven for 5 minutes or so, until cheese has melted. Let sit and cool until slightly warm or completely cool before serving.
Optional: Garnish with a little chopped chives or green onion.
This dip is great with chips, tortilla chips, veggies, bread, etc. So versatile!
