It’s that time of year again for the Kellogg’s Rice Krispies #TreatsForToys campaign! My family loves taking part in this campaign to help kids in need during the holidays. It’s also a great way to teach my kids about the importance of giving and helping others, especially children, less fortunate. I hope they will always continue on with the spirit of giving, even as they get older and have families of their own.
Help ensure a child won’t go without the magic of the holidays by creating a toy-shaped Rice Krispies treat and submitting a photo on TreatsForToys.ca OR share it on social media using the hashtag #TreatsForToys. Kellogg’s Rice Krispies will donate $20 to The Salvation Army for each photo submitted and/or shared. Each donation helps with the purchase of a REAL toy for a Canadian child in need during the holidays.
Have some fun with your creation this year and see if you can take on the challenge of adding a moving part into your toy-shaped treat! It’s a fun challenge that the whole family can take part in. Make it fun and enjoy the tasty treats after it’s completed.
My kids like to get creative and each year it is something different. In previous years, they have made robots, so I am excited to see what we come up with as a family this year. Maybe a train with moving wheels? The possibilities are endless!
I really do love this campaign. It helps bring the magic of the holidays to kids who might not experience it otherwise. It’s so wonderful of Kellogg’s Rice Krispies to partner with The Salvation Army to extend the holiday magic to children who might not have the opportunity for a magical holiday.
